My questions regard applying for post-graduate schools in the U.S.
1). I have not taken the GRE before. If I take the GRE for more than once, will the school look at ALL the results of the exam that I have taken?
2). My undergraudate GPA was very low - 2.45. My MA degree GPA was 3.17. I also have a Diploma in Education and the GPA was 3.45. I am thinking to apply for an Education related PhD in Northwestern University in Illinois, U.S.. What is my chance of being accepted with such low GPA? |

Dear Kukky,
Thank you for your question. As for postgraduate studies, the admission requirement is judged as individual cases together with your work experience and porfolio. I suggest you should check you case specificlly withe the postgraduate admission office Northwestern University in Illinois.
If you want to study Education at doctoral level in Hong Kong. There are a number of choices:
The local universities and locally granted degree
1. University of Hong Kong, Faculty of Education
2. The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Graduate School of Education
3. The Hong Kong Baptist University
4. The Hong Kong Institute of Education
Overseas Courses and qualification in Hong Kong with UK Universities
1. Doctor of Education (EdD), University of Nottingham UK with HKU SPACE
2. Doctor of Education (EdD), University of Bristol UK with City U SCOPE
3. Doctor of Education (EdD), University of Leicester UK with Poly U SPEED
As with the UK universities, they do not look at GRE as this is not part of their education system, rather they look at if you have a well-qualified Master degree and related experience in education field, so this is another angle to consider your application to the UK system.
Many of them are recently enrolling student and holding information sessions.
